Good Food For All – Addressing Injustice in the U.S. and Ohio Food Chain.
Good Food For All-Addressing Injustice in the US and Ohio Food Chain
GOOD FOOD – CINCY is an emerging partnership with the Our Harvest farm, the Green Umbrella’s Regional Food Policy Council, the National Food Chain Workers Alliance, and others. The CIWC convened this community coalition to advance holistic food procurement policies at local schools. The national campaign is called the Good Food Procurement Campaign (GFPP). Locally, over 100 community members and organizations are participating in this burgeoning effort. Linked above, Good Food For All was prepared through a fellowship with the American Association of University Professors, U.C. Chapter. Read it for an overview on the need for GFPP.
History of Wage Theft in Cincinnati 2005-2015
The Cincinnati Interfaith Workers Center is pleased to announce the release of our 32 page color book, History of Wage Theft in Cincinnati 2005-2015. It chronicles the Worker Center’s key wage theft recoveries and campaigns with new and archival material. Its concrete examples help demonstrate and explain various types of wage theft. Equally important, the book lifts up the brave men and women who stepped forward to oppose wage theft, seeking justice for themselves and their co-workers.
The initial, limited edition of the book is available to donors making a $100.00 gift to the Center. To reserve your copy call us at 513-621-5991. Sales from the book will support ongoing operations, including a forthcoming Spanish language edition of the book.
