Day Labor workers and their supporters in the Day Labor Organizing Project (DLOP) are beginning a research project into possible Living Wage violations in city contracts, and have begun to build a Hamilton County Workers Rights Board. DLOP meets Wednesdays at 9:00 AM at Our Daily Bread, informal Workers/ Immigrants Rights meetings are held Saturdays at
10:00 am at CIWC.

Developing membership is a priority for us. Workers,
their families and friends, Workers Center volunteers,
allies and anyone who supports the struggle for justice
for low wage and immigrant workers can become
members. As it evolves as a member led organization
membership decisions will lead to more program and campaign developments.

These meetings are the spaces where workers can tell
their stories to their colleagues, where possible solutions to problems can be discussed and strategic campaigns can be launched.

volunteer at the workers center

The Cincinnati Interfaith Workers Center (CIWC)
believes everyone has the right to safe and secure
employment that pays a living wage; and that treats
workers with justice and dignity.

People interested in economic justice issues, but not
yet able to find a way to get involved in meaningful
social activism, are turning to the national Worker
Centers' movement to express their commitment
to human and civil rights.
